I bought this bike last year for two simple reasons, I fancied a project and I needed a faster bike than my Moto Guzzi California to go on a trip around Devon and Cornwall with an old mate of mine. The previous ownership and service details are as follows. The bike still carried the original number plate and cockpit sticker. The bike has only had 3 former keepers before myself with the last keeper for many years.

The service book shows 5 services at the following mileages, 505, 6288,10810,20669 and 22694. The current mileage is 31300. A comprehensive factory scheduled major service including, oil change, flush and filter, air filter, plugs, valve clearance check and shim change as required. In tank fuel filter change with new gasket. Full rear suspension linkage strip, clean and re grease including any new bearings or seals as required, fork oil change, brake fluid replacement.

Throttle body clean and balance. Rad flush x5 and new coolant. Other work carried out as follows. Fork strip, clean and rebuild, front wheel bearing replacement, yolk strip, head bearing clean re grease and replacement, adjusted and correctly torqued. Swinging arm removal and refurb including clean and re grease of all bearings and new seals where required.

Hub strip, clean and new hub bearings/ seals. Full clean and lube of existing gold DID chain and sprockets. New tyres, new battery, caliper and pad check and clean, new rear disc, front disc bobbin clean. New fuel lines, new air box breathers, new crankcase breather oil seal.

Refurbished radiator and oil cooler, water pump strip and clean. New exhaust studs and nuts.

Every electrical connector cleaned and lubricated, every cable cleaned and lubricated. Every nut and bolt treated to the correct lubricant and correct torque. Repaired a crack to the belly pan from the inside and replace the heat shield.

Removed and checked/ cleaned the starter motor and replaced the o ring. All fuel tank seals replaced. Numerous new fixings and ancillary parts where required, original parts used where possible.

Everything works and needs nothing. As a result the bike went straight through the MOT with no advisories and has completed around 1000 miles since with only the rear chain needing a tweak and lube which I have now done. As such the bike runs and rides flawlessly and I suspect will do for many miles. The 31k mileage isn't an issue due to the level of work recently carried out however I have priced accordingly. The cosmetic condition is excellent for the age and in the best colours.

The bike comes with lots of spares as seen and coil packs that are not show in the photos. I have the original owners pack including owners manual, service book, large file and 2 keys.

The bike comes with a factory rear paddock stand and factory race pipe, rear seat hump and service tools which in themselves are worth a fair sum. This is a genuine and honest sale of an excellent and meticulously fettled bike. It's a nice model, the earliest 955 decal bike with all the looks of the 595 but with the recognized improvements, definitely an emerging classic.
