Since purchasing the bike in 2017 I have changed the seals, bushes and oil in the front forks, carried out an engine oil and filter change, flushed the cooling system, replaced the troublesome IACV Hoses with silicone ones as they had split, and balanced the throttle bodies. I have also just fitted a brand new battery. The exhaust Is a proper TORS end can which sounds incredible, and the correct fuel map has been loaded to suit. Cosmetically its very good for its age.
The paint polishes up nicely and I have fabricated a tail tidy which really neatens the back end. There are a couple of small cracks in the front fairing, I did intend to sort when I bought it but over time I noticed them less and less! Also at some point one of the screws holding the front cover on the petrol tank has snapped and the hole has been filled and painted black. Purely cosmetic and another one of those things you eventually stop noticing!
The Paint on the plastic tanks on the Daytonas are notorious for bubbling and there are maybe 4 very small bubbles on the right hand side but overall its far better than many examples I've seen. On the whole though these defects just disappear when looking at the bike. It was still getting compliments when I put it in for its MOT last month and it surprises me how much attention it attracts when its parked up! The bike Is fitted with a Datatool Duo Immobilizer and is Datatagged. It also has heated grips. Included in the sale will be a paddock stand, Original clear screen, rear seat and a spare key and immobilizer fob. I'll miss the Daytona when its gone and if I had a nice big heated garage I would probably leave it in there, but I don't, so its only right someone else enjoys it. I guarantee every time you open the throttle you will be grinning from ear to ear! Last point to mention, the tyres look like its been tracked, it hasn't! A friend of mine scrubbed them in on his 675 Daytona then fitted some supercorsas, so I had these to replace some horrible Pirellis that were on it! They are Dunlop Sportmax Qualifier 2's and are in good shape with loads of life left in them! Now for the boring bits. If you ask me silly questions like "whats the lowest you'll take for it" I will ignore you!I'm happy to answer any genuine questions and more than happy for you to come and have a look. I wont let it so for peanuts and 90s superbikes are only going up in value. The bike can be ridden away.
