Triumph 955i Daytona
Last year of production, 2006, special black edition. Black frame, wheels and bodywork. He used it to commute and tour and then retired to Cornwall and used it less. I have hardly done any miles on it as it has been my 2nd or even 3rd and occasionally 4th bike! However, the service history and owners manual got lost in his move south. I recently changed the plugs, oil, air and oil filters. The tyres have useable tread on them but due to the limited mileage done they are ageing.
The chain is useable but could do with replacing soon. The left front fork seal needs renewing. There are a few scratches here and there, mainly done moving it around my garage.
It has the usual issues of some bubbling on the tank. The alternator fuse in the fuse box over heated and melted some of the fusebox, as per Triumph user group, a fix has been done with larger wire and a separate inline fuse solving the problem. It comes with both the speed hump and rear passenger seat. It has a black bagster tank cover and bag. Sounds great and goes well.
I think with some work this bike could be a lovely low mileage original classic. I was going to do it myself and ask a premium price but time keeps passing and nothing happens, so here it is priced to sell.
