Triumph Daytona T595 955i Cafe Racer
It is with a heavy heart that I advertise my Daytona Cafe Racer for sale. I have several bikes and advancing age means I use this less than I should. I bought it 3 years ago from a gentleman here in Teignmouth who had always fancied a Cafe Racer but had found that he frightened himself silly on it and decided to just stick with chuffing about on his Bonneville instead. He had bought it already converted. More or less as it is now. It came to me with all the original bodywork , which satisfied me that it hadn`t been converted as the result of a crash. I still have the bodywork but it doesn`t form part of this sale (although I`ll happily part with it under separate negotiation). The conversion to Cafe Racer has been done very well as far as I`m concerned. Nice touches abound like the temperature gauge be set into the front of the tank cover.

The original ugly instrument set up has been replaced by a single speedo (from a Hinckley Bonneville I think) and surrounding instrument cluster. The low fuel light has been wired to the red oil pressure light. The gearing has been lowered overall as the standard +160mph gearing is not what`s required on a naked bike like this. It is very nippy and the little fly screen that I`ve added does allow for respectable cruising speed in reasonable comfort. The wheels have been custom painted by Art Attack in Plymouth.

It has the Triumph high level exhaust and sounds absolutely glorious with it`s mixture of airbox induction roar and the howling wail of the triple engine through that pipe. It is 23 years old and not a show pony , consequently there are age related marks here and there. There is a tiny chip on the tank just above the tank protector (see photo) but importantly the tank is not bubbling anywhere (which these plastic tanks are prone to do if left for long periods full of modern fuel). There are some signs of aging on the wheels if you look closely enough as there are also on the engine paint , but over all it`s tidy enough for a bike of it`s age (just don`t expect perfection). I have a wad of history with the bike from which I think it`s done just under 32k.

The MOT`s show it at 27k in 2013 then it drops to where the replacement speedo was fitted at conversion time? Since when about 4.5k. Oil and filter changed about 1k ago.

New fork seals for MOT and forks professionally set up. These Daytona`s are the biggest bargain on the used bike market and this one is unique. I`m not asking an outrageous price so don`t waste either of our time making silly low offers. I`m happy to deal with your courier if needs be or even to deliver within a 50 mile radius of Teignmouth S.
