Triumph Daytona t595/955i 955cc Modern Classic Sports Touring Motorcycle

This is the later version of Triumphs modern classic with some important improvements over previous models. It has the strengthened gearbox with the fatter 4. The wet liners are now aluminium with nicosil plating (lighter weight, excellent heat transfer and diamond hard bores). Improved con rod design (no more oval little ends and associated rattle). It has done 31000 miles so has loads of service left to give.

It has had the following done at 28000 miles: Datatag fitted, new fork seals and oil change, a set of Bridgestone BT 023, 12000-mile service to include spark plugs, oil and filter, air filter, fuel filter, fuel pump plate gasket, Valve clearance check and adjust and new head stock bearings (service says check and grease but in my mind to strip this far and not replace with FAG is a false economy). I also replaced the battery with a Moto Batt and changed the OEM plastic fuel unions to plated brass ones as the OEM ones can become brittle, break and leave you either stranded or on fire! At 30000 miles, I changed all brake pads for EBC Gold pads replacing the brake fluid. At 30500 I fitted a DID X ring chain and new JT sprockets and did another oil and filter change. I have fitted it with a Power bronze Double Bubble screen in tint as this lifts the air over your head (for those who like the wind in the face I will include a standard screen in tint in the sale).

Oxford heated grips wired correctly with a relay controlled by the ignition. If you have never experienced using these before they are a revelation and extend your season to dry winter days. I fitted bar risers that moved the bars up by 38mm which doesnt sound a lot but it completely changed the riding position for the better taking the weight off your wrists when riding at slow speed. Rubber faced foot pegs complete the package as they isolate you from any vibration (standard solid aluminium ones included in the sale). You want to go Touring. I have included in the sale a set of Genuine Triumph Sport paniers which are expandable and carried all I needed for a camping tour in Europe for a week last year with just my tent bungie corded to the pillion seat. It has age related marks and scuffs and unfortunately the fuel tank has some ethanol blisters probably picked up in Europe the other year.

It is a very powerful but not intimidating bike which I have known since 2009 and owned since June 2015. It is MOTd until 3 June 2018. The tyres are very good with 4mm tread at the front and 4.5mm at the rear (They have never been punctured or curbed).

If looked after the chain and sprockets should see at least 25000 miles. There is 9000 miles before the next big service and the brake pads have just been broken in. I have seasonally adjusted my asking price and I do not want a swap. The item "Triumph Daytona t595/955i 955cc Modern Classic Sports Touring Motorcycle" is in sale since Saturday, January 20, 2018.
