Custom made in the USA. Pipe is available in Chrome or all black powder coat finish at the same cost, please message me if you want the black powder coat model or your pipe will arrive in the base chrome finish with red interior.
This internal resonated pipe delivers a rumbling tone with less distortion that is not obnoxiously loud as a small open non resonated pipe. The fixed internal baffle helps to prevent lean fuel conditions (snap, crackle, pop) by providing some back pressure. Please note the red stripe has been removed for quality control purposes as seen in the above photo. Chrome pipes will come with red interior unless otherwise specified with me. Black or metal interior available upon request.
Pipe is ready to bolt on to stock header and comes with everything needed for complete install including a bracket attachment to the frame Note: Some minor modification is necessary to the end of the stock header needs filed or ground slightly to remove the flared end will not effect stock re-assy. This exhaust slips over the header end and clamps down with provided t-bolt clamp. Incredible superbike tone not found on any other aftermarket pipe today.
A shorter version is available (3 shorter see last photos) however this model has no internal baffle and will require a fuel controller or power commander to correct lean fuel mixture (snap, crackle, pop) message me if you want this pipe. Exhaust system not ready made to deliver. All hi-temp black powder coat parts (including clamps) with weather resistant coating. This powder coating type is designed for optimum performance in harsh environments specific to motorcycle exhaust and other high temperature applications in outdoor environment. It has superior heat and corrosion resistance and has been tested to automotive specifications and meets or exceeds standards of performance for exhaust and muffler coatings.Heat resistance in excess of 1100 degrees and continuous testing for 48 hours at 800 degrees show this coating to hold its color, gloss and physical integrity at this service temperature. It should be noted this motorcycle exhaust should not exceed 500 degrees. This coating exceeds specifications for salt spray resistance testing. No blistering or rusting from scribe after 120 hours continuous testing. Passed a full battery of corrosion performance tests for automotive applications.
New for 2015 XBSS exhaust comes with a baffle plug that can be installed to create added back pressure for further noise reduction and added throttle response.
