Fantastic Condition Triumph Daytona 955i
And firstly congratulations on finding a truly stunning example of the Triumph Daytona 955i. I may start with a little personal perspective on why these bikes are such a great model. By day I work as an automotive test engineer, which does allow some appreciation of vehicle engineering when presented, as well as my own comparison with the Japanese bikes. Firstly, these bikes obviously had a clear design specification to be built with quality despite additional cost, and it really shows. Previous experience of Japanese quality issues of instant rust (especially in hard to reach places) and paint inevitably peeling or bubbling is something you wont have to worry about with these Triumphs. All bolts are stainless steel (even dome headed where applicable), accessories are polished aluminium, and Ive never experienced any issues with the paint with any of the Daytonas Ive owned (great if youre an all weather rider).

Reviews of the bikes generally wrongly draw comparisons to in-line four superbikes, which is such a shame. The in-line three cylinder brings a brilliant balance of power and torque.

From pressing the start button you will instantly hear the recognisable Triumphs whine, which is soon consumed with the torque growl from opening the throttle. Its my opinion that torque is what slaps a stupid grin on anyones face, coming out of corners you want to feel an almighty punch between your legs to get you back up to speed who wants kids anyway, right?

So what about this bike? Well this Triumph has completed a mere 11,600miles, barely run in! She looks as good as the pictures and Im happy to send more or organise any viewings.

Theres no worry of requiring any work with a recent pre-sale garage visit seeing the following completed, to which its needless to say she runs very well indeed. Replacement tank overflow drain plug and hose.

Replacement coolant hose and new fluid. Ill throw in all my spares I have with the bike, including. New set of headstock bearings. Shes completely standard, nothing to worry about with any bodging or aftermarket issues. Tyres are good for the winter and so are the brakes.
